This 1951 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe is a stunning example of a high-quality Restomod, crafted by a builder who has previously won the prestigious Ridler Award. Blending timeless British styling with reliable American muscle, this XK120 delivers both show-stopping presence and exhilarating performance.
Under the hood, a 5.0L Ford V8 sourced from a 1987 Mustang-with fewer than 1,000 miles since installation-powers the car through a smooth-shifting 5-speed manual transmission. Originally fuel-injected, the engine has been expertly converted to a Holley carburetor for simplicity and classic appeal. In a clever custom touch, the builder reversed the original header pipes, routing them neatly in front of the engine and back under the frame via polished stainless-steel tubing.
Reliability has been enhanced throughout, with a complete modern rewire using push-in fuses-no Lucas electronics here. Additional upgrades include leather seating, a custom-installed air conditioning and heating system that vents from the rear cabin, and numerous subtle refinements for comfort and drivability.
This car's history is as unique as its build: after only 126 miles of use, it sat stored from 1990 to 2005, carefully preserved with all fluids flushed and replaced before returning to the road. Since then, it has continued to impress, winning numerous awards at British Car Club events.
