This is an incredibly clean and well-preserved example of the vaunted Z06 version of the fifth-generation C5 Corvette. First introduced in 1997, the new hydroformed box chassis was significantly stiffer than the outgoing model, and included a switch to a transaxle that shifted weight balance closer to center. Improvements in suspension, along with an improved interior design, drew positive response from both media and owners alike. The revival of the optional Z06 specification, recalling the original 60's version meant for competition, results in a 405hp version of the 5.7-liter V8, FE4 sport suspension, and a unique Fixed Roof Coupe (FRC) body with increased rigidity over the standard glass hatch body.
Given its popularity with enthusiasts, it's hard to find a clean and unmolested example of the Z06, so this example is a rare opportunity. The low mileage along with ther excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition are clear advantages, with aftermarket mods limited to lighting - high quality LED tail lights, and three-light LED headlights with a low profile, to keep the pop-up covers low and more aerodynamic.
